Federation calls on the Minister
Start: 2017-03-03 03:37:55
The Secretary General and Joint Secretary called on the Hon'able Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports today conveying felicitations on his appointment from the President on behalf of all the members of the Federation.Hon'able Minister , Shri M S Gill spent close to an hour listening to the activities , plans and problems of the Federation. It was brought to the notice of the Hon'able Minister that few of the critical problems impeding the development of sport in the country were prohibitive travel costs of horses in absence of any concession from Railways , lack of training of horses and riders by world class coaches because the Government financing was not enough and more exposure of our riders in training / competitions abroad.Hon'able Minister received the issues very positively and assured the Federation that he would do everything possible to address the issues presented.
