TENT PEGGING TORNADO IN MUSCAT

1.The Oman Equestrian Federation organised the Second International Tent Pegging Championship in Muscat-Sultanate of Oman at \"Al-Rahba Ranch\" from the 7th Feb to 11th Feb 2009.Col Sarpartap Singh(Retd) from India was the only foreign Judge in the Jury.

2. Teams from
Great Britain,Egypt,India,Pakistan,Yemen,Jordan Sudan along with two host teams vied for honors.
3. Indian team comprising of Insp Jagdish singh, HC Jaswinder Singh, HC K Sassidharan and Ris Om Prakash with Chief d'equippe Maj Aman Bath put together a dazzling performance befitting their numero uno status, and alongwith medals garnered the attention of one and all.Guiding their steeds with focus and finesse, while nailing the pegs, slicing lemons and spearing rings, the Indian riders left an indelible mark on the minds of sporting community of Muscat.The local media eulogised the team with scintillating sobriquet 'Invincincible Indians' and Indians lived up to the billing.
