NOTICE: VET PROTOCOL FOR BRINGING HORSES TO THE AMATEUR RIDER'S CLUB, MAHALAXMI RACE COURSE, MUMBAI

1. Please refer to EFI calendar 2021-22.

2. Amateur Rider’s Club (ARC), Mumbai would be conducting a number of equestrian events as enumerated in the EFI calendar.

3. ARC, Mumbai is located within Mahalaxmi, Race Course and have a stringent Vet Protocols in place for entry/exit of equines form the race course.

4. The Vet Protocol as received from ARC is endorsed herein for information and compliance of all.

Vet Protocol for bringing horses to the Amateur Riders’ Club /
Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai:

Every horse should be accompanied by the following valid Veterinary Documents:-

(i) Identification Certificate or Passport along with vaccination record.

(ii) Glanders & EIA (Coggins) Blood Test Report, (Glanders validity 30 days, EIA validity 90 days).

(iii) Every horse must be duly vaccinated with the Calvanza 03 vaccine. For horses who are being vaccinated for the 1st time, 3 doses with a gap of 21 days between each dose is required. Horses already vaccinated will require an annual booster dose.

The cost of a Calvenza vial containing 10 doses is approx. Rs.9000/-. The same is available with the "Helpro Health Products & Services" (Address: 127-128, 1st Floor, Parmar Park –II, Wanowrie, Pune – 411040, Tel: 020-26854376, Email: Helpro.mehra@gmail.com).

(iv) Proof of Pneumobort – K Vaccination ( only for horses coming from within Maharashtra itself)   

(v) Health Certificate of the horse (Authorized Vets for Certifying: State Veterinary Officer active, Army Veterinary Officer active, Panel Vet (RWITC) Registered).

(vi) Declaration Letter from the owner (on his letterhead) stating where the horse was stabled in the last 60 days before proposed entry into ARC / Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai.

5. The Veterinary documents should reach the ARC office at least 72 hours in advance to enable us to approve the same. 

6. All the Veterinary Documents described above should be available with the horses during unloading at the Race Course.

7. Participants are advised not to bring horses having nasal discharge or cough (cattar in hindi) or with lower jaw lymph node swelling, while beginning the journey. Such horses will not be allowed to enter the race course.

On arrival all horses will be physically inspected for any infectious or contagious diseases by the Club Vet.

8. Horses which do not comply with the above vet protocol will not be allowed to enter the club / Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai.
